Corporate Accountant

Corporate Accountant This position is responsible for the accounting functions which includes accounts payable and receivable, month and year-end reconciliations, general ledger and journal entries, maintaining and updating fixed asset schedules, and proofreading financial reports.

What You Will Do

  • Approve documents scanned into DocLink and index accounts receivables and payables.
  • Process checks for accounts payable.
  • Perform routine maintenance of the general ledger as well as GL account reconciliation and analysis.
  • Input journal entries.
  • Reconcile multi-company credit card statements.
  • Assist with various audits including but not limited to year-end, insurance, 401k audits.
  • Assist with monthly financial statements and other financial reporting.
  • Prepare and distribute accounting and payroll reports as required.
  • Perform audit and analysis of accounting data and projects as required.
  • Proofread financial reports for accuracy.
  • Cross train on all duties within the accounting department and perform duties as a backup when necessary.
  • Cross train on payroll and perform duties as a backup when necessary.

What we Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Three (3) or more years accounting experience following GAAP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 and accounting software (Sage preferred)
  • Familiarity with Doclink and McLeod software a plus
  • A 'Can Do' attitude no matter how large or small the task
