Outreach Worker

Utilize your human services experience as you aid children with mental health difficulties and their families in the Western Massachusetts community!

Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as the Outreach Worker in our IHBTC (Intensive Home Based Therapeutic Care) Program at Behavioral Health Network!

Outreach Workers, as part of our IHBTC core dyad with the Clinician and will offer individualized, structured, resiliency-building activities to our enrolled youth. The Outreach Worker will teach social skills, anger management and other related behavior management skills to enrolled youth. In addition, the Outreach Worker will play an integral role in supporting the youth and families to make community connections to on-going supports and services. The Outreach Worker will also assist with completing assessments in conjunction with the clinician and will also play a role in supporting the family to access crisis services as needed. At times, the Outreach Worker may provide transportation to youth or caregivers as needed to address care coordination and treatment needs. The Outreach Worker will need to be skilled in collaborating with the Family Team and state agencies, DMH primarily. Successful Outreach Worker candidates will have two years' experience working with children with Serious Emotional Disturbance.

The Outreach Worker at Behavioral Health Network has the following qualities:

  • Two years of experience working with children with Serious Emotional Disturbance preferred.
  • Ability to create and implement strategies to facilitate achievement of agreed upon goals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
