The Software Delivery Ecosystem team is hiring a team first Software Engineer to help us develop next generation Software Delivery capabilities for Liberty Mutual developers. You’ll work with a talented team of engineers to leverage your skills in Python, AWS, and Lambda to build and operate API’s Liberty Mutual developers rely on every day to deliver innovative new products.

Experience

  • One to Three years of software engineering experience
  • Experience working in an agile environment utilizing Scrum, Kanban or XP
  • Experience developing Python application API’s using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask
  • Experience working with AWS services like Lambda, API gateway, S3, RDS and Dynamo DB
  • Experience with REST API and Microservices.

 

 

 

Skills

 

  • An ability to code in multiple languages, preferably python
  • Strong oral and written communication skills—and a knack for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineers
  • A collaborative, adaptable working style, demonstrated initiative and the ability to prioritize your time and efforts
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to design, architect, and implement well-tested and maintainable backend systems and API applications
  • Collaborate closely with designers, product owner, and other engineers to create scalable, secure, and high-quality patient experiences
  • Make improvements to existing backend architecture, codebases, and infrastructure to make them more performant, reliable, and secure as we deliver healthcare at scale

 

Knowledge

 

  • A thorough grasp of technology concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture and technical standards
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools

 

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience
