Korda/Nemeth Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Designer specializing in plumbing system design for an immediate opening. As a Consulting Designer, your task is to design and analyze the following building systems and prepare the drawings and specifications for bidding and construction by contractors.

●  Pumping and piping systems

●  Plumbing systems

●  Fire Protection systems

This position involves interpreting and applying local and national code requirements as part of the design for the safety of the public.

To be successful in this position, you must possess:

●  Ability to work on multiple projects in a collaborative environment

●  Good social skills, as you represent our company at client meetings

●  Willingness to learn new skills and to work towards continuous improvement

●  Willingness to work additional time as required to meet project deadlines


●  3 to 5 years’ experience

●  Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States, no visa sponsorship available at this time. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Job Requirements:
  • Produce quality plumbing design work
  • Drafting plumbing designs for various industries
  • Assist the mechanical engineering department with the preparation of plumbing drawings as part of departmental and multidiscipline efforts
  • Generate basic mechanical/plumbing details and sections under supervision of a licensed professional mechanical engineer
  • Verify all designs meet mechanical/plumbing quality and design standards
  • Adhere to mechanical and plumbing design codes and standards
  • Maintain high quality of mechanical / plumbing and industry design standards
  • Perform as a designer and checker for major phases of plumbing design
  • Incorporate and develop basic mechanical/plumbing details and plans
  • Last 3+ months in length
  • Lay out engineering drawings performing mechanical/plumbing drafting and design
  • Prepare designs for buildings and for heavy industry
  • Help develop complete construction drawing packages
