About the role:

Injection Molding Responsible for performing minor and major equipment repairs and preventative inspections on equipment as per procedures in a safe and professional manner as directed. Completes necessary paperwork accurately and on time.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment

  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.

  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.

  • Be able to identify every component on the electric machine, both at the machine site and on the drawings. This includes electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical.

  • Know how to zero each motor type encoder on the electric machines. This includes both touchscreen and non-touchscreens controls (Mosaic and Extreme).

  • Know where the motor encoder connects at the motor and drive.

  • Be able to identify all connections on Fanuc motor drive system.

  • Know how to properly adjust the clamp skates on the electric machines (Milacron).

  • Know how to use the code reader to diagnose Fanuc drive problems on the electrical machines.

  • Know how to properly set the tie bar stretch, for parallel on the electric machines.

  • Know how to diagnose, replace and re-zero bad load cell on electric machines.

  • Able to understand and analyze ladder programming on a PLC.

  • Able to write a simple PLC program to preform a task.

  • Able to program and explain every command line that we use for picking and placing product on a Sepro robot.

  • Know how to check field voltage on all DC drives.

  • Know how to check armature voltage on all DC drives.

  • Understand all electrical connections at the DC drive and at the DC motor.

  • Know how to use the megohmmeter and a standard VOM to check the DC motor.

  • Know how to wire the DC motor proper rotation

  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment

  • May operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

  • Records repairs made and costs

Job Requirements:


  • HS Diploma/GED. 

  • Graduation from an industrial trade school highly preferred. 

  • Extensive previous experience in an industrial maintenance environment. 

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. 

  • Must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift.

  • Must have normal color vision and be able to work all shifts.

  • Strong skills dealing with troubleshooting and repairs of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems on production and associated equipment.

  • Team-oriented individual with the ability to read, write, and speak English. 

  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to train and develop others.

  • Ability to perform basic functions on a computer.
