Project Manager

This company currently has an exempt position available in their St. Louis office for a full-time Project Manager with three or more years of experience leading or managing projects in a professional services environment, preferably in a law firm. This role is responsible for overseeing projects, including planning, organizing, executing, and managing technical projects to make sure they are delivered on time and within budget. Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor degree in computer science, business or a related field, and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. The person selected for this position must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities
? Assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
? Assists with project initiation evaluations, such as cost-benefit or return on investment, and provides recommendations.
? Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements; ensures project stays within scope.
? Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
? Develops and manages detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
? Measures project performance.
? Performs risk management to minimize project risks.
? Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, including spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps.
? Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.
? Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
? Manages relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and IT personnel.
? Cross-trains team members so that policies and standards are adhered to.
? Ensures appropriate written documentation is created and maintained to enable other personnel to keep systems operational.
? Communicates with vendors, trade groups, and professional organizations to stay abreast of business trends and best practices.
? Maintains project management library of model documents, templates, and reusable knowledge assets.

Job Requirements
? Ability to consume information, objectives, and concerns communicated by others in order to identify and contribute relevant information to the team/project.
? Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices with a proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
? Experience in providing presentations and status briefings to management and legal teams.
? Through imagination and an open mind, devise new ways to carry out tasks, solve problems, and meet challenges.
? Ability to break down complex pieces of information into smaller and more understandable components and principles to decipher facts to provide evidence-based conclusions based on collection and analysis of data.
? Detect trends and patterns and propose solutions or escalate appropriately.
? Ability to transfer knowledge.
? Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office suite and DMS.
? Working knowledge of ITIL framework to ensure efficient service delivery and improvements in alignment with the Firm's business and technology strategies.
? Ability to identify, collect and reconcile information from online resources, vendor engagements, peer and personnel interviews for the purpose of presenting information in support of operational and strategic objectives.
? Must possess a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills so as to be able to work well with employees at all levels within the organization and maintain all information in the strictest of confidence. Required to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.
? Must have ability to read, write and communicate fluent English; ability to compose documents in the appropriate business style using correct grammar and spelling; ability to communicate clearly using proper grammar and diction over the telephone.
? Must possess attention to detail, ability to balance multiple projects and have strong time management skills.
? Must have ability to reason and apply common-sense understanding to situations encountered.
? Ability to process routine daily functions while being able to resolve sensitive issues and complex assignments utilizing above average critical thinking skills.
? This is a full time position which requires working in the office a minimum of 40 hours on a regular basis. Oftentimes it may include working outside of normal business hours to ensure completion of position requirements.
? Ability to travel if necessary.
