Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

This position is located at the DFW International Airport in Dallas, Texas.




The primary function of this position is to provide fulltime environmental health and safety support to the site and ensure all site practices are in compliance with Texas State and Federal regulatory requirements, as well as company specific requirements.  The position will be responsible for coordinating regulatory programs and its permitting applications as needed.

Scope of Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work.
    • Ensures that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
    • Investigates work injury and environmental incidents and provides root cause analysis.
    • Develops and implements corrective and preventive actions.
    • Administers First Aid treatment for minor injuries.
    • Assists leadership in tracking and accomplishing Safety Key Performance Indicators.
    • Enforcement of SWPPP best practices.
    • Hazardous Waste Management and training.
    • Hazard Communication/GHS training/SDS management.
    • TCEQ refrigerant program and tracing requirement.
    • Refrigerant specific requirements- industrial process refrigeration system.
    • SPCC program and training requirements.
    • Comply with company safety program and trainings.
    • Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or required.


  • Minimum Associates degree preferred, will consider current ASP, OHST, OSHA 501, OSHA 511 or Firefighter or EMT-B certification
  • Conducts safety and environmental audits and inspect sites/facilities within area of responsibility to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulatory laws.
  • Keeps abreast of industry and regulatory changes, certifications and trends, proactively respond as appropriate.
  • EPA waste management best practices
  • RCRA and CWA regulatory requirements
  • PC skills with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License, and the ability to pass an FAA Security Background Check
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills within a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of ISO/OSHA Management systems a plus
  • 3+ Years of experience in an Safety related role
