Dietetic Technician

SUMMARY 

The Dietetic Technician assesses patients to determine nutritional status.  If patient is at risk or in need of education, the Dietetic Technician will follow-up with a plan for intervention or a referral to the registered dietitian.  This individual must be able to perform duties in formula lab as necessary and adapt meal plans to religious, physical, cultural and socio-economic status.  .

QUALIFICATIONS 
  • B.S. in Nutrition from an accredited institution
  • Must be knowledgeable of the growth and development of the adult and the geriatric patient
  • Must be able to use this knowledge to assess the nutritional status and to determine a plan of intervention
