Sr Corporate Development Analyst

As a Sr Corporate Development Analyst, you'll be using your skills and expertise to play a key role in building the strategy, business evolution, and long-term success of SNC. You'll support the company's efforts in all aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, joint venture transactions, market research, company evaluation, sourcing, structuring, due diligence, financial modeling, valuation analysis and deal negotiation.

The Corporate Development team is responsible for providing data-driven insights to inform financial, strategic and operational decision-making across the company. We’re seeking a Senior Analyst/ Associate who will support broad initiatives across corporate strategy and planning, capital markets, M&A, investor relations and strategic projects. In this role, you will work with a lean team to develop top and bottom-line financial projections, track key performance indicators, deliver ad hoc financial analyses and present critical recommendations to the leadership team. This is a high visibility role and will be reporting to the Director, Corporate Development and Strategy. This position is headquartered in Colorado, but currently remote with the potential for a hybrid schedule or in office requirements in the future.

What you'll do...

  • Build sophisticated financial models and synthesize outputs into concise presentations to inform executive and board decision-making

  • Support strategic decision-making through analysis, with a focus on capital allocation and scenario planning

  • Distill large datasets into actionable insights and trends and updating management regularly with unbiased a point of view on the health of the business

  • Create clear and concise management presentations that hit the mark and allow for well informed and quick decision making 

  • Play a key role in corporate strategy and planning, capital markets and investor relations processes

  • Collaborate across all levels of the organization by developing a deep understanding of Sierra Space’s business model, including product and market strategies, competitive context and internal processes

  • Support deal teams through end-to-end execution of transactions, including business case development, financial modeling, negotiation, diligence and integration planning; potential to develop quickly into independently leading smaller deals and other strategic initiatives

What you'll bring...

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or corporate finance

  • Expert Excel skills; extensive experience building three-statement financial models, running scenario analysis and analyzing large data sets (Excel wizard)

  • Effective communication skills; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to all levels of management

  • Expert presentation creation skills (PowerPoint wizard)

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, independent and self-motivated

  • Ability to think creatively and critically, thrive in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment and juggle multiple responsibilities with competing deadlines

  • Aerospace industry experience a plus


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
                 •Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
                 •Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Able to effectively and clearly communicate complex regulatory requirements and solutions

  • Advanced skills creating complex valuation models in excel

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills


  • MBA, CFA or demonstrable equivalent

  • May require some international travel on a project-by-project basis

  • Experience in corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or large-scale global-management consulting

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $117,040.88 - $160,931.20

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
