To provide encouragement, therapy, activities & nursing care that will assist the resident in achieving and maintaining his/her highest level of function.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the restorative nursing care needs are met.
  • Direct, teach & constantly evaluate the nursing restorative program provided on the units.
  • Evaluate the nursing in-service needs of the staff regarding restorative care.
  • Assess new admissions & current residents of change in their abilities in regard to their restorative potential.
  • Coordinate rehabilitation programs with the nursing department & other auxiliary departments.
  • Submit monthly report to Director of Nursing Services.
  • Responsible for all clinical staff performance in relation to restorative nursing.

    Qualifications

    • At least 1 year of experience in Restorative Nursing preferred.
    • Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a RN or a LPN.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal & written in English. Spanish preferred.
    • Basic math skills required.
