Engineer (Contaminated Assessment & Remediation

GHD has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Engineer to be base from our Cincinnati, OH office

Working within one of our Contaminated Assessment # Remediation team, you will

  • Supporting project teams both in the office and in the field on projects associated primarily with environmental remediation, environmental due diligence, environmental compliance, construction oversight, and potentially design projects involving environmental, civil and geotechnical disciplines.
  • Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Perform a variety of duties for groundwater and remediation projects to include but not limited to: Site investigation, remediation, and monitoring of environmental projects
  • Fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, drilling and subcontractor oversight, and remediation system installation and operation and maintenance
  • Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, and implementation
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, figures, technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
  • Plan and implement environmental field work such as monitoring well installation, groundwater monitoring and due diligence assessments
  • Prepare routine correspondence, data reports, standardized documents and work plans for internal and client review
  • Participating in sampling events for groundwater and soil
  • Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals

What you will bring to the team 

  • 4-year Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering, Geology, or Science) degree. .
  • Minimum 5 years experience in remediation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER is a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and with a team of geologists and engineers
  • Willingness to travel (up to 60% of the time)
