Logistics Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join our growing global team in Milwaukee, WI!

Description:

1. Ensures Business Logistics Continuity

- Manages the Logistics Execution and Export teams

- Actively engaged in logistics problem identification and solutions

- Translate strategies into specific goals, tactics, action plans, and deliverables for the internal team

- Management of site logistics performance to mutually agreed KPIs

- Own Logistics Execution Team Dashboard Metrics and Root Cause Corrective Actions.

- Create departmental standard processes ensuring alignment to business strategies

- Work with Shipping sites to foster positive shipper profile attributes

2. Develop information flow and ensure accuracy

- Partner with local operations leaders to develop operational plan to understand business needs and translate data solutions.

- Develop daily & monthly reporting based on real time data from TMS system to drive smarter and more timely shipping decisions

- Primary point of control/quality for fulfillment data

- Actively participate in data report outs to business

3. Financial Acumen

- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, and carriers.

- Oversight of all billing, accruals, and gap analysis

- Lead and manage root cause counter measures for key metrics

4. Resolve Business Issues

- Daily management of Ad Hoc business needs

- Develop continuous improvement processes to create efficiency for new or existing processes

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree required – Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance preferred

- 5+ years of experience in a logistics operations position (preferably in a manufacturing setting)

- Previous experience in global logistics

- Experience with LTL, FTL, ocean and air carriers is a MUST

- Proven ability to train and develop an engaged organization that will ensure the highest level of service, productivity, safety and efficiency

- Superior Analytical and Problem-solving skills

- Detail oriented and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams on a global basis
