Our McKinney (Lake Forest) outpatient orthopedic, neurologic, and oncologic rehabilitation center continues to expand, and we are seeking a compassionate and driven licensed physical therapist to provide exceptional patient care experiences on a full time basis. This candidate will be the third oncology specialist on the team, joining a growing multidisciplinary clinic averaging about 600 visits per week. The caseload will include a wide variety of cancer diagnoses with a high percentage of people affected by breast cancer. Lymphedema certification is not required, but preferred. 

The ideal candidate must be flexible, take initiative and own their schedule. Relationship building with physicians is an expectation. If oncology caseload is low, this therapist will be expected to backfill with orthopedic and neurologic patients.

Seize the opportunity to join our highly trained and respected ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation Program team, who provide rehabilitative services to help improve quality of life for people affected by cancer. Interest in cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema are required, experience is preferred. Our ReVital team provides the necessary education and training for therapists invested in treating both our oncologic and orthopedic population, which must be completed within the first six months of employment. Your caseload would include a steady mix of cancer rehabilitation and orthopedics, with potential for full time cancer rehabilitation. Mentorship is available for our full-time new graduate physical therapists. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy
  • Valid State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience required
  • Manual therapy experience required
  • Interest in cancer rehabilitation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cancer rehabilitation experience preferred
  • Lymphedema experience preferred

 Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a workday/shift. Must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday/shift
  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
  • Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community
  • Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate reporting, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence, and presentations, either manually or through use of electronic equipment
  • Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment
