Project Lead II - Armament

JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. We develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments, and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.



Using basic knowledge of project management fundamentals, the incumbent individually leads relatively small projects of low to medium complexity supporting Company and customer requirements. Additional functions and duties involve:
• Assist Project and/or /Program Managers with the daily conduct of large project/program activities involving Project tasks including:
• Make priority determinations
• Develop, review, and approve project documentation
• Maintain established project portfolio
• Establish, execute and report on project budget
• Manage project risk
• Monitor/control and re-plan project
• Provide project status through project/program reviews
• Annotate lessons learned and archive project data
• Administer Work Management System (WMS) activities through the use of identified scheduling tools
• Follow company and Government processes and procedures as required maintaining accountability and responsibility for project schedule, budget, and requirements to deliver projects on time meeting required budget
• May be required to recruit and hire appropriate technical personnel to ensure the accomplishment of project requirements
• Use established policies, procedures, and subject matter knowledge to complete assignments of medium complexity that vary in nature and sequence
• Performs other related Project assignments as requested.

- This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. Routine travel to remote Company work locations may be required. RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION - The incumbent will be required to perform and initiate munitions Built in Test (BIT) programs, record maintenance data, and reprogram munitions Operational Flight Program (OFP) software on wide range of common and advanced munitions. This will include MIL-STD-1760 smart munitions and Non MIL-STD-1760 smart munitions. Examples are inclusive of but not limited to: Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM), Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM), AIM-9X ATM, CTM, NATM and IMV as well as next generation weapon systems such as the Small Diameter Bomb. The incumbent will also be responsible for the proper set-up, operation, and tear-down of all associated test equipment. Current proficiency in the operations and use of the Common Munitions BIT Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE+) Plus test equipment is highly desirable. Familiar with 6 Degrees of Freedom TM unit and performing target survey on weapons highly desired. Will perform Flight Termination System (FTS) checks when required on the aircraft. Perform aircraft preflight and post flight inspections on weapon loaded aircraft and non-weapon loaded aircraft. Will also be required to maintain the Government Property Ordnance Tracking System and other database applications that track weapons and flight hours. Will be required to operate/drive Government Vehicles and other ground support equipment on the flightline and in the shop/hangar. Receiving and maintaining a flightline driving certification is requirement. This position requires flexible work hours and the ability to work swing shift operations to support dynamic flightline operations.


Must have a Bachelor's, or higher degree, or any combination of formal education, training and experience equivalent to eight years involvement in technically demanding program or project assignments. Must have demonstrated knowledge and skills in resource organization and allocation, planning and budgeting, configuration management, continuous quality and process improvement, setting and measurement of program goals, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Incumbent must have a valid, current state driver's license. Must be able to qualify for and maintain a Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
