About the Role
The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is filling two DevSecOp Engineer positions to provide support and development for our Cloud solutions initiatives. These positions will be filled at the Senior, Advanced, or Lead level depending upon the candidate's experience and background.

As a DevSecOp Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of automated solutions using a variety of programming languages within Cloud environments. At a minimum you should have thorough knowledge and experience in DevSecOp principles, practices, and culture as well as knowledge of NIST standards, risk assessment and cybersecurity threats. To be a successful DecSecOp Engineer you must be able to excel in automating security and operational solutions including log monitoring and alerting.

Key Activities: 

  • Design, create, configure, deploy, and maintain automated solutions which may automate deployment of code, monitoring of performance, security and operational solutions, and other manual processes.
  • Research new automation capabilities and solutions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing and production.
  • Perform application administration duties: system management, user management, security management, plugin management, etc.
  • Partner with Information Security representatives and development teams to design, develop, implement and/or execute security configurations and controls.
  • Manage core security model configuration in accordance with information security.

Qualifications:

  • You must have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to be considered as a candidate at the Sr. level, and at least 15 years of relevant experience to qualify for the Expert/Lead level.
  • Expert/Lead candidates must also have mastery of subject matter and have specialized depth and/or significant breadth of expertise in discipline in order to serve as thought leaders for solving business problems and provide input into strategic direction.
  • Associate degree in Information Technology or a closely related field from a technical/vocational school, an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience is required.
  • Incumbent must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless the Bank grants an accommodation based on a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.
  • Appropriate level of understanding of subject matter coupled with appropriate breadth of knowledge in discipline associated with the level of position being considered for.
  • Performs work independently with limited supervision and direction. Serves as a resource for less experienced staff.
  • Experience with Salesforce SaaS solution preferred.
