Conemaugh Nason Medical Cener is looking for a Casual/Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant. This position will provide direct care for patients to the fullest extent of his/her training in accordance with organizational policies.  Under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant functions as a member of the patient care team to implement the patients’ plan of care. Provides care to promote patient safety during all aspects of care and meets the day-to-day needs of the patients we serve. The Certified Nursing Assistant participates in quality and patient safety initiatives for improving patient care and outcomes.

Duties included, but are not limited to the following:

-  Promptly answers patient/staff requests and fulfills/finds appropriate staff to respond to need as soon as possible.

-  Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge patients.

- Promptly answers all call bell lights (whether that of assigned patient or not), anticipates patient needs and demonstrates a cooperative attitude when assisting patients.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Completion of approved Nursing Assistant Program.

Required Certifications:
Certification as Nursing Assistant is required.

BLS certification or successful completion within 3 months.

Minimum Work Experience

One year of healthcare experience preferred (e.g. Acute or LTC setting).

Required Skills

Computer skills with knowledge of Medical terminology.

Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and reflects kindness, understanding, respect,  and/or ability to relate positively with patients, families and coworkers.
