X;PEDS - Big Data Apps Developer

Client Domain/Industry: (Healthcare Services) - Experis, a ManpowerGroup company has an exciting job opportunity for a Big Data Apps Developer (Only W2). This position is a 6 months' Contract-to-Hire, for one of our key clients, a Fortune 5 healthcare services organization that is an American for-profit multinational managed healthcare and insurance company.

Job Titles: Big Data Apps Developer

Location: Remote due to COVID19. Post COVID restrictions are being lifted off this job can be done from the client's Franklin, TN office.

Skills/ Experience Needed:

  • 8+ years of experience in design, development and implementation of enterprise applications.
  • 2+ years of experience with Java technology development stack (Java 8 +, Spring Boot, Angular JS, React, etc.)
  • 3+ years hands-on expertise with building Micro Services.
  • 1+ years building and deploying Cloud based solutions - Azure/AWS.
  • 3+ years Hands-on experience with Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, HBase, Spark (Design, Development, Test, Deploy on Production Hadoop cluster), demonstrating ability to segment and organize data from disparate sources and knowledge of data security and encryption models is desirable.
  • Experience with Shell scripting Experience with Docker/K8s/Open Shift technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD process and tools - Jenkins - JPAC, Automation, GIT, Artifactory, Fortify Scan, Sonar Cube.

Job roles and responsibilities:

  • Analyze and define customer requirements.
  • Design and develop reusable software modules that meet customer requirements while upholding high standards of reliability, security, maintainability, and performance.
  • Assist in defining product technical architecture.
  • Design complex software components and/or entire subsystems independently.
  • Make accurate development effort estimates to assist management in project and resource planning.
  • Participate in peer reviews for designs, code, and other work products.
  • Perform software quality assurance, including all types of testing.
  • Write technical documentation.
  • Keep skills up to date through ongoing self-directed training.
  • Advise management on how products and processes could be improved.
  • Mentor junior Data Engineers on technical topics.
  • Participate in healthcare informatics industry standards organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Kafka or other even streaming technologies.
  • Experience delivering software using an Agile/Scrum methodology (Agile Central, Rally)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Global team experience Healthcare, Provider domain experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment while maintaining adherence to standards and best practices.
