LAMC is currently offering a $20,000.00 Sign-On bonus for a twenty-four (24) month commitment for this position

LAMC is currently offering rental incentive for up to six months for this RN position for a newly hired applicant who makes the decision to move  to Los Alamos and reside in the community.

This position provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.  Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.  Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.  Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Requires:

Current NM RN licensure or appropriate Nm compact licensure.

Must have current BLS  upon hire.  Position will require employee to obtain ACLS and PALS within six (6) months from hire.  

New hires will have ninety (90) days from date of hire to obtain American Heart Association
certifications. Notwithstanding this ‘grace period’ for obtaining American Heart Association
certifications, employees are not excused from being current in any and all existing certifications

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  Must be able to work in a stressul envirnomnet and take appropriate action.
