Maintenance Supervisor - Hotel

The Maintenance Supervisor is one of our leaders of building, equipment and grounds condition of the resort. The position may supervise or provide leadership to 5-6 maintenance workers. This position will perform maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel. The candidate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized maintenance shop and for the security of the hotel inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, furniture, fixtures, and equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor's focus on guest and associate satisfaction, expense control and product quality and will lead to their contribution to the overall goals of the hotel. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the upkeep, use, care, and repair of the company vehicles and tractor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS : Vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous background from the extended stay industry or apartment building maintenance management a plus. Specialized knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and equipment mechanics. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial. Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances. Valid driver's license required. Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds. Will be required to work some mornings, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Job Requirements:
  • Ensuring routine maintenance and preventive maintenance
  • Assign maintenance tasks to technicians
  • Supervise facility maintenance activities including predictive maintenance floor, maintenance diagnosis and repair, and emergency maintenance
  • Supervise the maintenance staff at facility
  • Supervising scheduled maintenance
  • Execute needed work orders for maintenance repairs and monitor maintenance activities with the responsible supervisor
  • Perform general maintenance/building repairs
  • Organize daily maintenance of equipment
  • Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment
  • Develop a preventative maintenance program using the maintenance records used in building maintenance repair
  • Oversee safety program and preventative maintenance
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
  • Perform maintenance management by supervising maintenance personnel and establishing priorities
  • Prioritize maintenance work orders and ensure proper maintenance resource allocation
