ServiceNow Developer

We are searching for a ServiceNow Developer to create complex world class custom applications for our enterprise clients on the ServiceNow platform (not just ITSM). In this role, you will have both technical and creative design input to develop, configure and maintain these applications so they are the best they can possibly be. · Assist the product team and business owners in finding creative ways to solve business problems and make them more effective

· Work with the product team to refine end user stories before development begins

· Answer technical and configuration questions

· Provide work effort estimates based on end user stories and related assumptions

· Utilizing technical expertise; Create system requirements, perform design and analysis, and coding and unit testing of complex to highly complex system functionality and/or defect correction

· Coordinate and solve complex technical data and transformation issues

· Customize ServiceNow configurations, including custom scripts, workflows, and orchestration activities

· Design, develop, and maintain complex ServiceNow workflows to automate/digitize manual processes

· Develop creative design patterns and architectural frameworks to maximize the reuse of custom code

· Create ServiceNow reports, dashboards & homepages

· Utilize Performance Analytics to collect historical data and develop trend reporting

· Coordinate application and platform upgrades across multiple instances

· Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues to minimize impact and future occurrences

· Create system documentation/play book(s) and serve as a lead technical reviewer and contributor in design and code reviews

· Develop clear and concise technical and process documentation, making use of the knowledgebase module within ServiceNow

Job Requirements:


  • 3+ years working with the ServiceNow platform in an Admin/Developer and enterprise-wide, multi-tier ServiceNow production environment creating automated workflows, service catalog and service portal items, REST and SOAP integrations, scoped applications and widgets, script includes, client scripts, server scripts and UI policies
  • 3+ years scripting within ServiceNow, with strong skills in the following languages; using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, Web services, Jelly, Angular JS
  • Experience configuring MID Servers
  • Solid knowledge of how to architect the extension of ServiceNow data structures to create applications
  • 3+ years working within ServiceNow ITSM, Service Catalog, Service Portal and Customer Service Management areas
  • 3+ years' experience in Agile/Scrum development environments


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Services or related field preferred
  • ServiceNow System Administration certification and/or ServiceNow Application Development certification required
