The Human Resources Assistant will provide assistance to our HR Generalist. During Metalcraft’s biggest time of growth, the assistant will help focus on staffing the facility, while supporting the HR Generalist with data entries and other daily tasks. Training and daily duties will be taken place between our Mayville and Beaver Dam facilities.

This is intended as a part time role of 20 - 30 hours per week.


  • Review resumes and applications within our applicant tracking system to determine the most qualified for a variety of jobs
  • Schedule and conduct the pre-employment process and onboarding; interviews, tests and exams, orientation, etc, while maintaining and updating our systems and communicating with other departments
  • Assist in welcoming new employees to the organization by conducting orientation and helping with new hire entries.
  • Run reports within SAP and ADP on a daily and weekly basis pertaining to attendance, employee status, etc.
  • Provides support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; relaying messages; maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education and/or Experience

  • Experience within Microsoft Programs; excel, word, powerpoint
  • Working towards or have completed a certificate, Associates Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree within Human Resources or a related field
  • Experience in HR systems is preferred including ADP, SAP, Kronos
