Toll Brothers , America's Luxury Home Builder, seeks an Interior Merchandising Designer for our division office located in Orange, California.

What is the opportunity?

The Interior Merchandising Designer is responsible for creating an exceptional luxury brand experience for Toll Brothers customers to learn about new home options through the design of our sales centers. The visual merchandiser will highlight the features and benefits of our homes to attract, engage, and motivate the customer towards making a purchase from the sales center experience. The Designer works alongside the National Interior Merchandising leaders to creatively and accurately design sales center nationally. This person must demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with the Merchandising team, field operations teams and architects alike. In addition to sales center project coordination, plan reviews & critiques, the Designer is responsible for drafting interior design documents, furniture and finish specifications.

What are the primary responsibilities?
  • Create a luxury customer environment through the design and detailing of Toll Brothers sales centers
  • Draft floor plans and interior design details for sales centers nationally, as well as provide furniture and finish specifications documents and furniture order sheets for each project
  • Coordinate sales center projects as requested from the operations teams
  • Manage the furniture inventory process
  • Work with outside vendors to identify product specifications to improve the sales center design, efficiency of construction and cost savings
  • Create and update reports to track sales center activity including project monitoring and reports in project management software
  • 20% outside travel as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Do you have these qualifications?
  • Essential:
    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Interior Architecture for commercial projects
    • 5 years minimum experience working in Interior Design or Architecture field as a technical designer, project manager or higher level
    • Advanced CAD, Photoshop, Graphic Design and Project Management Software experience
    • Proven ability to produce interior design drawing sets including FF&E specifications with custom furniture and millwork detail drawing expertise
    • Retail/Commercial Design Experience
    • Knowledge of commercial building codes
    • Ability to travel 20% of time
  • Preferred:
    • NCIDQ or AIA Certification
    • 3d Design, REVIT, Sketch-up and/or other 3d platforms
    • Project management
    • Client interface/account management skills
    • Home Building Industry Experience
    • Superior presentation skills and public speaking experience
    • Retail Design and Merchandising Experience a plus
