Manager, Regulatory Insights

KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Advisory Services practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Track financial services legislative and regulatory developments
  • Take primary role to draft KPMG Regulatory Alerts covering significant legislative and/or regulatory developments as well as Points of View (POVs) covering emerging issues (see KPMG Regulatory Insights landing page for examples) and Power Point summaries of regulatory insights; must also take primary role in drafting materials for internal and external distribution cover letters, as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the KPMG service lines (Advisory, Audit, Tax) focused on financial services clients as well as with the marketing/communications group and graphics department (NDPPS)
  • Assist with thought leadership/publication planning and scheduling and project management
  • Some opportunities to participate as a presenter in KPMG webinars

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience working within banking, capital markets or insurance, including experience with a financial services company, consulting practice, regulatory agency or legislative body
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience; graduate level degree (e.g., master’s degree in public policy (MPP, MPA) or juris doctorate (JD)) preferred
  • Working knowledge of federal laws, regulations and executive orders impacting financial services
  • Experience related to financial services regulation (federal and/or state level) in the areas of regulatory compliance, examinations, enforcement or policy making
  • Clarity/crispness in written communication, attention to detail; writing sample appreciated, if available; ability to take direction, high appreciation to risk management protocols; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to travel as required; historically, limited travel has been required (0-10%)  for this position
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
