Faculty - Clinical Site Development Coordinator

The Clinical Site Development Coordinator, Assistant Professor in School of Physician Assistant Studies recruits PA supervised clinical practice experience (SCPE) sites and provides lectures. The Clinical Site Development Coordinator additionally participates in committee and scholarship work as an active faculty member and ensures program compliance with ARC-PA standards. 

Teaching

  • Provides and/or participates in lectures, laboratories, and experiential learning activities to didactic and clinical year students
  • Assesses student performance
  • Designs and participates in preceptor orientation, training and development programs

Program Administration

  • Designs and implements an approved a PA SCPE site recruitment plan
  • Expands the number of SCPEs available to the program
  • Participates in program evaluation and accreditation
  • Works with the University’s Office of Experiential Education to onboard and maintain PA rotation sites

Scholarly and Service Activities

  • Participates in institutional research activities
  • Serves on committees
  • Attends School and institutional activities such as Commencement, White Coat and Awards ceremonies

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education.

Required:

All applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), strong organizational ability, and comfort using computers and common software programs such as Word and Excel.

Physician Assistants with the following:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (Candidates without a master's degree would be required to obtain a master’s degree in an appropriate field from an accredited institution within three years of hire.)
  • Current NCCPA certification and eligibility for MA licensure
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or business consistent with job functions

Physicians with the following:

  • Current eligibility for or an unrestricted MA license as an allopathic or osteopathic physician
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or business consistent with job functions
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or business consistent with job functions

 Health profession clinicians including Pharmacists, Nurses and others with the following:

  • A terminal degree in a relevant discipline
  • If bachelor's degree is not the terminal degree for the profession, the faculty member must obtain the terminal degree within three years of hire.
  • Current eligibility for or possession of an unrestricted MA license in the applicable field of practice
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or business consistent with job functions

Other professionals with the following:

  • A terminal degree in a relevant discipline
  • If bachelor's degree is not the terminal degree for the profession, the faculty member must obtain the terminal degree within three years of hire.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or business consistent with job functions

Desired:

  • Experience in sales and specifically health and medical related sales is highly desired
  • Teaching experience
