Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated team player to join CST's Global Marketing Team as a Sr. Scientific Liaison & Training Manager. This role is responsible for scientific education efforts within the marketing department for the full CST portfolio both at the segment, product and regional levels. S/he will execute educational initiatives for internal, prospect, customer, and key opinion leader audiences. Working in collaboration with the Sales, R&D and Marketing Teams, this role is responsible for identifying and evaluating educational needs for all audiences, then creating educational content and managing programs to increase the scientific understanding of CST offerings globally.

  • Lead cross-functional project teams to conceptualize, draft, review and edit education and training for sales teams (both direct and distributor), scientists, KOLs and other stakeholders across multiple segments
  • Develop clear project briefs and work collaboratively with the Marketing Communications team and other colleagues to develop content for training programs and educational events
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, decision makers, and scientific thought leaders within the BioPharma and Academic segments
  • Collaborate with Global and Regional marketing, as well as field sales teams to identify, develop, and manage customer advocates, educational speakers, and prospective key opinion leaders
  • With R&D & other groups across Global & Regional Marketing, assess the existing KOL programs at CST and support the ongoing operation and optimization of the CST KOL program
  • Attend and participate in relevant conferences and events to represent CST and support educational speakers and programs
  • Conduct relevant sections of new hire training and offers regular continuing education programs for the CST commercial team
  • Stay abreast of and scientific developments by reviewing current literature, monitoring competitor activities, attending scientific conferences, and networking with experts
  • Continually develop skills, licensures (if applicable), and professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Perform work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment that requires meeting time-sensitive deadlines
  • Organize, prioritize, and complete tasks within deadlines without supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Research experience is required at the MS/PhD level in Cell Biology, Biochemistry or related field
  • The successful candidate must have a passion for science, working knowledge of scientific/technical terms, and the ability to comprehend research and academic writing and 'translate' it in layman's terms for different distribution channels, including training events, email, web, social, trade shows, datasheets and KOL advisory meetings
  • The candidate must possess strong scientific communication skills and attention to detail, and be able to analyze and interpret complex data from internal and external scientists
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a creative team
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and history of running training programs
