To install, maintain, troubleshoot, inspect and repair electrical & instrumentation plant equipment in a safe and timely manner.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and
  • Performs tasks associated with assisting in the maintenance of electrical systems throughout the plant. This includes troubleshooting and repair of LV/MV motors and motor controls, repair of LV/MV switchgear, PLC troubleshooting and programming and instrumentation repair.
  • Assists/conducts preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment.
  • Work with contractor personnel.
  • Suggests programs that reduce/contain costs and/or increase productivity. Takes independent actions to resolve problems when appropriate.
  • Participates in formal and on-the job training programs to acquire/broaden both technical and non-technical job skills; participates in cross training activities.
  • Interacts with members of Process Areas on a regular basis to gather or communicate information, solve problems, etc.
  • Follows all safety procedures, checks for safety hazards, takes corrective action to eliminate safety hazards. Adheres to plant environmental policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Participates in team meetings.
  • Applies skills and performs work in other positions as assigned.
  • Works rotating shift or on call schedule and weekends as assigned.



Required Education: High School diploma/GED

Additional Education Preferred: Associates/Technical Degree

Required Work Experience: 2-4 years industrial experience required or equivalent education

Travel Requirements: Less than 10%

  • General knowledge of electrical theory including electrical safety theory
  • Ability to work in any maintenance situation including operating equipment (ie bobcat, forklift, man lift, crane etc).
  • Selection, maintenance and usage of trade tools
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Electrical drawing reading skills
  • Preventive and predictive electrical maintenance practices
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Lighting systems
    • Plant power distribution system
    • Instrumentation devices & systems
    • Motor drives and controls
    • Communication systems
    • Stand-by power systems
  • PC knowledge a must. Must demonstrate ability to learn new applications.
  • Ability to work and communicate in professional matter

$38,000.00 - 61,000.00
