Vehicle Cyber Security Analyst

**This position is currently a temporary work from home/remote position. You must be willing to relocate to Madison Heights, MI USA once COVID policies/restrictions are lifted.

  • Work with development and operations team to implement in-vehicle cyber security strategies and security features
  • Provide threat modeling service for cybersecurity relevant vehicle feature and modules
  • Coordinate and conduct cybersecurity reviews, including penetration testing, fuzz testing, static code analysis, etc., as required by best practice and customer requirements
  • Find security vulnerabilities by generating various attack scenarios for target systems
  • Development of countermeasures for identified security vulnerabilities
  • Support customer meetings on security-related feature implementation
  • Write and interpret specifications for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, cyber security or embedded systems or related disciplines
  • Experience with TARA task triage, scheduling and conducting feature/module level TARA risks
  • Previous in-vehicle cybersecurity experience is a must
  • 2 years or more years of experience in cyber security systems engineering
  • Experience with UNECE cybersecurity regulation and ISO 21434
  • Working Experience with STRIDE methodology and Jira
  • Familiar with in-vehicle network, architecture, modules, and protocols (e.g. CAN)
  • Experience applying security fundamentals (such as Cryptography, keying, PKI, TLS)
  • Familiarity with embedded hardware security (Hardware trust anchor / HSM) and auto interfaces (USB, OBDII)
  • Familiarity with software security feature implementation (secure firewall, gateway, network isolation, secure updates, etc.)
  • Familiarity with automotive networking (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.), automotive connectivity (cellular, satellite, Bluetooth) protocols, security, over the air updates and vehicle architectures
  • Penetration testing and tools experience
  • PKI experience on medium to large deployments is a plus
