Head of Leaders-In-Training

Live and work on the beautiful Greenbrier River in Lewisburg, WV, with the oldest girls camp in the Virginias! In everything we do, we believe girls need healthy self-esteem and their own, individual voice to confidently navigate life’s challenges.

The Head of LIT runs our 6-week program for 16 year olds at Camp. This leadership program includes an off-site backpacking trip, lifeguard certification, community service in and out of Camp, event planning, teaching, and more. During the LIT summer, participants perform counselor duties like supervising younger campers or leading and teaching a new camp activity. They give back to camp and the local community through service projects that they help design. They experience multiple opportunities to step out of their comfort zone and become more resilient, confident young women through activities like group wilderness hikes, learning to change the oil in a car, or public speaking, among other things.
