Tests and inspects work performed in compliance with applicable codes and/or specifications.

Position Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Inspect materials, products, and work in progress.
  • Test and measure products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications.
  • Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure proper assembly of parts or assist in testing and monitoring activities.
  • Mark items for acceptance or rejection, record test results and inspection data, and compare findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.
  • Familiar with the use of hand tools.
  • Report to work as scheduled within the time frames which are set forth by supervisor(s).


Position Requirements

Qualifications:


•High familiarity with cleanroom protocols
•Have some mechanical ability and use of hand tools
•Ability to communicate both in written form and verbally
•Capable of problem solving for leaks and particles contamination in a timely manner
•Communicate well and work well with others.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and in-house training. Completion of technical school and previous on the job experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.



MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Use mathematics quickly and accurately.




REASONING ABILITY:The ability to combine separate pieces of information, or specific answers to problems, to form general rules or conclusions. It includes coming up with a logical explanation for why a series of seemingly unrelated events occur together.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Be able to stoop, kneel or crouch. Stand and walk for long periods of time. Speak, hear and be able to see well including close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Climb and maintain balance. Reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:Most workers are on their feet most of the day. Some may be exposed to loud noises and grime of machinery. Some work evening, nights or weekends.
