Outside Sales District Manager (Mid-Atlantic Region)

We are seeking a top candidate for an Outside Sales District Manager for our Mid-Atlantic Region. The candidate must live in one of the following states/areas (Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, DC, Maryland, or Delaware)

Position Summary:

The main purpose of this position is to oversee the sales activities within a defined territory and manage sales representatives. The district manager will build, strengthen, and provide ongoing training and support to their assigned Outside Sales team and support account management and relationships with ranges and retailers in their territory.


  • Hire and train sales representatives in assigned territory; assist in identifying new locations for sales representative expansion
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback, including performance improvement plans and annual performance evaluations. Coach and mentor representatives to ensure success in:
    • Identifying target ranges and instructors
    • Communicating USCCA value proposition to range owners
    • Securing MSA/W9 as part of Official Partner Program
    • Gaining access to classes
    • Improving conversion rates
  • Perform ride alongs with representatives in the territory
  • Conduct quality audits of range and instructor satisfaction with USCCA and OS Representative
  • Conduct training and process improvement meetings on weekly basis with team members that drives the development and attainment of sales goals - drive membership and revenue activity to hit targets set by Corporate
  • Follow established policies and procedures and hold the Sales Team accountable to them
  • Develop and execute competitive replacement strategy by state
  • Establish and maintain ongoing customer and business relationships
  • Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on the outbound sales segment(s), including market requirements, applicable regulations, industry trends, competitors, and market conditions
  • Assist and coach outbound sales efforts and sales development strategies designed to generate, pursue, and close business. Develop and implement specialized or targeted sales strategies, including the range and retailer programs
  • Follow EOS guidelines for L10 meetings and communications; gain buy in from the team and ensure value add
  • Execute territory plans

Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience leading others, preferably in a sales capacity
  • Minimum of 5 years outside sales experience
  • Familiarity with or experience in firearms industry and/or gun range and retailers is highly desirable
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral along with presentational skills
  • Knowledge of territory, market and clients
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills are critical
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Computer literate and proficient in software and internet functions
  • Must obtain or already possess Your State of Residency's Property and Casualty license (training provided)
