CloudOps Engineer

In this role, you will work directly with customers to develop a technical strategy, develop implementation and resource plans, lead the implementation team, and provide technical updates to customer and Levvel project leadership. You will be part of agile/scrum ceremonies and will work as a contributor within these ceremonies.
Within three months, you will have ingrained yourself with your project and its goals, while developing strong relationships within and outside of your team.
Within one year, you will have worked across various client and internal Levvel teams to build solutions, whether those be for clients or for internal initiatives. Architect, build and deploy large scale enterprise solutions in cloud and on-premise environments to include AWS, Azure, Google, IBM as well as hybrid cloud solutions
Implement and integrate Red Hat open hybrid cloud technologies like Infrastructure-as-a-Solution (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Solution (PaaS) including the Red Hat OpenShift Platform
Manage priorities to meet deadlines while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes, maintain effective communication with client stakeholders and various Levvel team members
Create detailed technical documentation including requirements documentation, architectural solution, and implementation details, including QA and ticket and bug management
Mentor and ensure knowledge transfer to customers and Levvel consultants
Develop and implement automation and integration for our customers using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation / Azure Resource Management templates
Work with senior staff to guide adoption of automation techniques and processes to improve cloud life cycle, including infrastructure and application uptime, availability, and time-to-marketDesign and advocate solutions using cloud technologies, design principles, integration points, and automation methods
Participate in marketing events to showcase Levvel’s expertise in the CloudOps spacePresent at local, regional and national conferences
Lead and contribute to the Levvel Labs initiatives, including contributions to open source projects, publishing technical blogs and podcasts and conducting live technical sessions

Required Skills

15+ years of application development or systems operations experience
5+ years experience working with AWS / Azure / Google cloud-native technologies
Significant experience designing and deploying Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment platforms at scale
Infrastructure automation / Configuration management platforms (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation / Azure Resource Manager templates) in cloud and on-premise environments
Azure / AWS / GCP Kubernetes services or Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
Advanced scripting abilities in Python, shell, etc.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Professional or Expert level AWS, Azure, GCP, or RedHat certifications
Exposure to AIOps/MLOps tools and processes desired, but not required
