Construction Manager- Broadband Infrastructur

Geoverse is seeking a Construction Manager with experience managing general contractors and vendors building an Outside Plant (OSP) to join the Choice Broadband segment of business. This is a critical support position for a construction manager supervising daily work that will involve overseeing all aspects of a fast-paced utility construction operation such as: safety, scheduling, crew direction, productivity to meet deadlines, reporting, and crew oversight. The best fitted candidate will possess proactive problem solving skills, strong analytical skills, and critical thinking abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

  1. Responsible for overseeing the daily activities and production of subcontractor
  2. Daily problem solving of day to day issues found in the field
  3. Keep the Project Manager/Director updated on progress of all projects
  4. Track daily production for crew and achieve schedule demands at all times
  5. Responsible for workforce compliance with all safety regulations including all OSHA requirements.
  6. Single point of contact to manage the deployment, execution and closeout of a variety of projects
  7. Manage and track project milestones and timelines. Track, review, and approve sub-contractor daily production reports, create and manage progressive project documentation.
  8. Managing relationship to coordinate with city officials, jurisdictional authorities, and utility representatives.
  9. Perform on-site surveys and coordinate field meetings to ensure projects meet the delivery/commitment dates identified.
  10. Maintain accurate as-builds to ensure all changes in the field are documented.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical / Telecommunications industry with aerial / underground utilities construction
  • Thorough knowledge of NESC codes related to the construction of Overhead and Underground communication lines
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Practical knowledge, (Willing to learn Microsoft Office products to include): Word, Excel, MS Projects
  • Must have earned high-school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have valid driver’s license
