QA Engineer

QGenda is a fast growing Atlanta-based healthcare information technology company, with an amazing corporate culture and where we strive to be the best place to be a customer. Our software is used by thousands of hospital departments and physician offices to automatically generate the most optimized physician work schedules to accommodate complex business rules and accurately schedule the appropriate medical provider based on their skill level, specialty, availability, and preferences.

Job Description

In your role as a QA Engineer, you will be an integral part of ensuring the success of our products by creating test plans and executing test cases for both the existing and new products that were developing. We're looking for QA engineers who thrive in short iteration scrum environments. Our scrum team works in two week sprints and has a strong track record of meeting sprint commitments. We value collaborative discussions and creative ideas on how to test the features were developing. Our team solves challenging problems ranging from automating complex schedules to developing optimized user interfaces for visualizing schedules.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure QGenda software is awesome and high-quality
  • Build product test strategies, write and execute test plans, file bugs, and communicate with the team about issues, risk, and product quality
  • Develop and execute regression tests on every release
  • Work with a talented team of engineers and support to triage inbound bug reports and reproduce issues
  • Help in further refining our test methodology and approach.


  • 1-2 years experience as a QA engineer within an agile development team
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. preferred) from a major university
  • Hands-on experience testing a SaaS web application
  • Knowledge of best practices and standards for web applications
  • Experience testing iOS and Android applications
  • Experience with agile software management tools (JIRA, VersionOne, etc.)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills and upbeat personality
  • Experience in test automation or desire to learn about it is preferred
  • Prior experience with healthcare-related products is desired
