AVP Claims Operations - Data Analytics and Compliance

This position reports to the Claims Vice President and is responsible for claims operations, data analytics, vendor relationships, system maintenance, project management and compliance for the claims department. The location of the position would ideally be located in Atlanta, GA, but will consider remote. Must be able to travel to Atlanta as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain SQL Server data structures necessary for business analytics and reporting for claims department
  • Project manage claim system
  • State and federal compliance management for auto claims
  • Create client reports and custom reports(On demand, Ad-hoc Reports, Frequency reports, Summary Reports, Sub Reports, Drill-down, dynamic grouping, Cross-Tab, graphical, aging reports etc.) using SQL Server.
  • Work closely with business leaders to understand their needs and desires and prioritize the work appropriately.
  • Build relationships with external vendors, carrier partners, and reinsurers

Job Experience:

  • Experience in data models and reporting packages
  • Ability to analyze large datasets
  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports
  • Assist the Regulatory Compliance Consultant with CMS. This includes obtaining required personal information used for reporting and inputting the information into SID which will be fed to ISO
  • Project management, vendor management
  • Strong background in MS SQL Server
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Tableau experience a plus
  • Work experience in the Insurance industry preferred. Claims operations strongly desired
  • Strong analytical ability and logical thinking, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ensure state and local compliance laws are met via system reporting
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self- starter and enthusiastic
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Bachelor degree preferred
