Production Operator


Job Summary

Performs manual assembly and/or Class 2 electronic hand soldering operations on components or sub-assemblies using schematics, blueprints, job-aids, or drawings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform intermediate hand assembly/soldering operations (high volume, repetitive).

· Accurately cut/trim/form component leads using hand cutters and forming tools

· Utilize soldering iron to perform wire/lead tinning.

· Access customer prints and work instructions to install components and parts

· Route and attach wires and form circuitry

· Installation of through-hole and surface mount components (basic hand soldering)

· Identify and apply very small components in very small spaces without damaging adjacent parts

· Perform visual self-inspection per IPC-610A

· Perform standard rework operations Inspect and evaluate to standards

· General equipment total preventive maintenance (TPM)

· Fill out and maintain production records.

· May perform 2nd inspection on others' work

. Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent education and/or electronic manufacturing industry experience

· 1+ years of electronic soldering experience (preferred).

· Ability to use standard measurement and test equipment such as: digital multimeters, power supplies, and power sources.

· Knowledge and interpretation of schematic diagrams.

· Knowledge of electronic circuit boards (preferred)

· Good verbal and written communications skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It may be necessary to work more than 40 hours per week at times to produce the required results.
