Role Overview

The High Voltage (HV) Battery Team is responsible for the of HV battery development from concept to mass production. Principal Engineer BMS Software will be responsible to liaison technical requirements, ensure hardware & software deliverables and oversee BMS development with supplier.


•Recruit and hire BMS engineers.

•Conduct BMS algorithm reviews, approvals and signoffs.

•Lead and direct the BMS launch team.

•Work with suppliers to deliver Fisker's BMS key milestones during all development cycles.

•Manage and direct all software requirement specifications (SRS) for BMS features and controls.

•Manage requirements, DVP&R, DFMEA, diagnostics, ISO26262 functional safety requirements and BMS EOL testing and manufacturing.

•Own all BMS hardware, software and integrations issues.

•Manage all the correspondence between suppliers and Fisker and make program-critical decisions.

•Analyze data, develop conclusions and manage design revisions.


•MS/BS in Electrical, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering

•Minimum of 8 years of experience in BMS software development.

•Prior leadership and direct report.

•Experience in global BMS/HV battery standards.

•Experience in AUTOSAR and ASPICE.

•Proficient in software development tools such a C, C++ and MatLab.

•Experience in Requirement Management software tools.

•Experience in Validation and verification tools including, software in the loop, hardware in the loop and vehicle level validation.
