We are looking for a dedicated Apheresis RN like you to be a part of our team. The Registered Nurse will coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN will serve as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. 
  • Make assignments to licensed staff [LVN, RN] and delegate to unlicensed staff in compliance with current BNE rules in a structured health setting for patients with predictable as well as unpredictable health needs.
  • Demonstrates skill in setup and operation of apheresis equipment in differing settings. Performs various types of apheresis therapies including plasma exchanges, red cell exchanges, platelet and white sell reductions
  • Performs and documents appropriate patient monitoring pre-, intra-, and post treatment.
  • Provides access-related care to initiate apheresis therapy, including cannulation of dialysis fistula/graft and accessing dialysis catheter

  • < 1 year applicable experience: Required

 

Education
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred

    • 1+ years applicable experience in Apheresis Required

 

License/Certifications
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation: Required
  • If hired on a compact license from a different state, must obtain TX RN license within 90 days of hire.
  • BLS: Required upon Hire
