Society Insurance is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter II to join our team. This position works to develop and maintain a profitable book of business that aligns with Society’s guidelines and standards. Experience with Texas Commercial Underwriting is a must!

About the Role

  • Acquires, evaluates, and analyzes information relative to risk to make selection and pricing decisions.
  • Evaluates renewal and new business accounts for acceptability.
  • Will have sole responsibility for agencies as assigned according to territory needs.
  • Builds and maintains positive professional relationships with agents and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Provides training and mentorship to team members.

What it Will Take

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience OR 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience.
  • Continuing education in the insurance field.
  • Basic competency of desktop applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Occasional Travel.
  • Experience with Texas Commercial Underwriting accounts.
