Account Executive

General Purpose and Scope

As an Account Executive for Geoverse Business Solutions, you will contribute as a Customer-Focused sales leader for a world-class rural telecommunications organization known as a leader in the US Southwest Region. We have a vision of “enriching the lives of rural Americans by bringing superior communications services to all.” The Account Executive will actively participate as a key member of the communities in assigned region through collaboration with both industry and community leaders. This role will work closely with a tenacious sales, marketing, product, and engineering team to proudly deliver high quality creative solutions to your customers through a broad portfolio of cost-conscious telecommunications products and solutions that are constantly being enhanced and expanded upon. The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multi-task & prioritize, and proven problem solving & decision-making skills.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

  • Achieve or exceed planned sales levels for all products and services within targeted market segments, regions and/or targeted accounts.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding Geoverse Enterprise Solutions products and services and their application to potential customers.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Geoverse Enterprise Solutions in the Region. Establish sources to provide information or competitive pricing, market activities, transaction usage and other information about opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Develop sales territory, including cultivation of local partnerships and organizational affiliations.
  • Using professional selling skills, position Geoverse Enterprise Solutions value; generate brand awareness & preference for Geoverse Enterprise Solutions products and services.
  • Conduct sales calls, including cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and partner relationships, implementing market strategies developed in conjunction with the Regional and National Sales Leadership. This requires out-of-office, on-site, in-person, meetings with customers on a regular basis
  • Create and regularly conduct live and virtual sales presentations that demonstrate knowledge of the latest Geoverse Enterprise Solutions products and services, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills and skill in presenting, persuading, and negotiating.
  • Maintain sufficient knowledge of customer’s business to recognize opportunities and be perceived by the customer as a problem solver and value enhancement specialist.
  • Act in a consultative role to a variety of customers to insure that they understand the plans, features, products and services so they can easily order, install, and add value to their internal programs with our products and services.
  • Provide post-production basic training and orientation to customers on Geoverse Enterprise Solutions product portfolio.
  • Using, maintain constant communication of lead generation and deal actions, including regular updates to customer contact information.
  • Participate in Regional trade shows and conferences in accordance with Regional strategy and in coordination with Regional Leadership with the objective of maintaining or improving customer relationships and prospecting for new business.
  • Retain customer base by delivering on Geoverse Enterprise Solutions company objectives in servicing the customer as well fostering Geoverse Enterprise Solutions core values of honest dealing, integrity and accountability across all internal and external communications.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure operational efficiencies and service levels that meet and exceed customer expectations through strong customer service orientation & excellent follow up.
  • Improve selling skills through participation in training and seminars, supervisory feedback, self-evaluation, and customer feedback.
  • Provide information as required by the Regional Leadership to assist in development of twelve-month rolling forecasts.
  • Manage all selling expenses within the established travel & expense budgets.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • Candidate must have no less than 3 years previous outside business sales experience in the telecommunications field (ILEC, CLEC, wireless or cable), with key sales experience focused in prospecting new business accounts for Enterprise class products and services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Network Design, WAN, LAN, and VPN Data Network Infrastructure, Networking Protocols (with an emphasis on Layers 1,2, & 3), specialized Data Internet and Telephony Business Solutions, including proficiency knowledge in unified communications, Hosted Voice, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery concepts as well as USAC (eRate & RHC) programs
  • Strong computer systems skills, able to work in a Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office environment and learn additional programs as needed
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and dependable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
