The Shipping Receiving CDL Driver participates in the daily warehouse and production support activities and transports cargo between company locations.

*Essential Responsibilities:

  • Understand, practice, and support safety standards in all work and in all locations
  • Perform physical and clerical tasks associated with shipment and reception of supplies and finished products
  • Verify shipping records and correct packaging and labeling
  • Unpack received goods and check for damage and accuracy of shipment
  • Work with materials transport companies
  • Conducts verification of incoming materials to Purchase Orders and processes initial inputs in the ERP system
  • Transports materials, inventory, or equipment between company locations
  • Properly records Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Reports and ensure maintenance on the vehicle is scheduled in a timely manner
  • Ensures that all safety and HAZMAT protocols are followed regarding cargo transport
  • Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck
  • Helps maintain inventory accuracy and integrity
  • Follow guidelines for transacting materials and movements in a timely and accurate manner

  • Must be able to work on Government programs (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent Required
  • Current CDL License Required
  • Acceptable driving record is required
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical
  • Shipping & Receiving experience of 2 or more years is preferred; at least 5 years of CDL driving required
  • Basic knowledge of automotive general maintenance is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to use MS Suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience entering, retrieving information from a database
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities and time management skills
  • Must be able to use coordinating measuring machines, calipers, and other precision measurement tools
  • Must have or be able to obtain forklift license
