We are searching for an experienced Mid-Level Software Engineer - Prototype Development at our Newport, RI location.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Capability Team’s mission is to prototype capabilityimprovements to provide informed feedback early in the systems engineeringprocess of a program for proof of conceptual configurations, using a concise,tailored prototyping generation process. The Software Engineer II role will asisst in prototype development includeing conducting trade studies; determination of hardware, software, and facility requirements; software development; andsoftware integration. The prototypeeffort follows an agile process (i.e., build-test-build). The team uses direct fleet participation asthe primary source to prioritize technical initiatives, identify payloadelements, and refine operational concepts in accordance with customer needs.

Eligibility Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with a field of concentration in Computer Science is reuqired.
Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience is required. Experience using C/C++, Qt and Linux in a professional/workplace setting are required. US Citizenship is required. DoD Secret clearance or above is a plus.
