Job Summary

The Craig Dalsimer Division of Adolescent Medicine currently has over 20 faculty members, 2 nurse practitioners and 10 fellows who provide comprehensive care for youth age 11 to 24. Our aim is to provide high-quality medical care to youth throughout the adolescent years, with a focus on respecting individuality, supporting physical and emotional growth and development, and educating and empowering teens to ultimately take ownership of their healthcare and life decisions.   Primary responsibilities are to supervise office employees and work with clinical operations and program development

Job Responsibilities

Supervisory/ HR-functions

Supervisory authority can be over employees in multiple discipline/ roles. At a minimum, is directly responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and equity pay reviews. Recruits, onboards, orients and ensures ongoing compliance for their staff. Assists in onboarding and orienting providers to Division/ Program. High sense of autonomy with limited guidance from direct supervisor, AD or Medical Director act on employee administrative management issues.


Clinical Operations

Leads clinical projects and Divisional initiatives, by assisting in setting performance metrics and reporting results for clinical projects.  Responsible for data analyses with high level of accuracy due to reporting outside of the Division (i.e - OPPE, QI/ Value, Budgets).                                                                                  


Program Development/ Marketing

Reviews results of relevant surveys (i.e. patient satisfaction, employee engagement) and other operational data.  Analyze trends and makes recommendations to Administrator and clinical leadership to further grow or improve the program.  Owner of all internal and external communication methods (@CHOP, intranet, PR/ external website) for the program/ Division.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations Required Education and Experience

Required Education:

  • Bachelors in business, health administration or related field required 

Required Experience:

  • Six (6) years of related healthcare experience
  • Three (3) years of management or supervisory experience
Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education:

  • Masters in business, health administration or related field preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Eight (8) years of related healthcare experience
  • Five (5) years of management or supervisory experience
Additional Technical Requirements

Effective leadership skills including:

  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Budget management skills
  • Program development skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with QI tools/approaches
  • Building capabilities of staff
