As a Process Reliability Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for identifying the quality and reliability challenges with Semiconductor Processing and implementing solutions to the challenges. You will collaborate with manufacturing fabs and product quality team to develop, implement and monitor wafer level quality indicators and drive actions to achieve best in class quality. You will also be characterizing and evaluating process reliability utilizing wafer-level reliability (WLR) techniques.

This role requires a strong understanding of Semiconductor reliability, Device Engineering, Process Integration and Statistical Quality Control. You will be responsible to create models to correlate test structure data to product reliability, develop tests to mitigate process reliability risk and develop Quality and Reliability indicators.



  • Manage Wafer Level Reliability for New Process Qualification.
  • Identifying the quality and reliability challenges and drive solutions for advanced CMOS devices and BEOL metallization.
  • Comprehend failure modes and failure rate within the scope of the product qualification.
  • Develop, implement and monitor quality indicators to achieve best in class quality.
  • Manage, schedule and lead quality improvement initiatives to improve key quality indicator metrics to best in class.
  • Perform risk assessment at all decision points within qualification cycle.
  • Identifying the root cause for deviations and engage with problem solving team to fix quality and reliability issues.
  • Provide WLR expertise and support Excursion material disposition.
  • Develop process reliability tests to assess new process failure mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with R&D for new technology node deployment.
  • Ensure that test methodology follows industry standards, such as the Joint Electron Devices Engineering Council (JEDEC).



  • Masters Degree or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering or Microelectronics.
  • Strong knowledge of Intrinsic Reliability Failure Mechanisms and product fail modes.
  • Good understanding of CMOS Device Engineering, process integration and Statistical Quality Control.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts relevant to semiconductor reliability.
  • Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills.
