JOB SUMMARY

As a Manager you will lead, manage, and direct sophisticated cross-functional projects using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and other process improvement methodologies. Mentor less experienced associates in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and develop associates for future growth within the organization.

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for process improvement initiatives and support the continuous improvement program, such as the development and delivery of Lean Six Sigma material and training. You will drive innovative strategies at TJX and lead Process Optimization workshops to support the Intelligent Automation and Robotic Process Automation journey at TJX.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

Leads, manages, and directs complex projects using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and other process improvement methodologies.
Guides the project team through all phases of the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) roadmap and provides recommendations
Identifies the "Voice of the Customer" through data collection, surveys, and interviews and defines project metrics.
Oversees the collection &analysis of data and performs measurement systems and capability analysis.
Reviews statistical tests for accuracy, delivers measurable and validated results
Leads the project team in the generation and evaluation of solutions.
Develops pilot & control plans to ensure project gains are continuous and sustainable.

Program Support

Supports and advocates for the global continuous improvement program.
Assists management in the definition and maintenance of an effective and efficient continuous improvement program.
Assists in the development and delivery of continuous improvement documentation and training.
Participates in the development and maintenance of the continuous improvement standards and methods utilizing industry best practices.
Identifies project opportunities while working within various business functions.
May participate on project teams outside of the functional area as a subject matter expert (SME).

Associate Development

Provides leadership and guidance to less experienced associates, such as Green Belts.
Motivates team to achieve measureable results.
Coaches direct and/or indirect reports on performance and professional development issues.
Participates in performance appraisals, interviews and discipline/documentation as needed.

Decision Making:

Management of project teams, timelines and resources
Definition, analysis, implementation and control of process improvement initiatives.
Evaluation of solutions and control plans.
Associate training and development needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic

Black Belt certification with 8+ years of experience in Process Improvement, Quality, Operations, or in a technical discipline
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Math, Statistics or another technical major is highly preferred
Demonstrated proficiency of Lean and DMAIC tools
Facilitation, team building and change management skills
Mentoring and coaching ability
