Position Title: Analyst Revenue Management Optimization  (Revenue Management Optimization)

Position Summary

The Analyst, Revenue Management (RM) Optimization plays a key role in shaping and driving JetBlue’s RM system strategy to maximize flight revenue. The Analyst will contribute to solution implementation around RM systems using quantitative analysis, statistical techniques, and structured programming languages. In addition, the individual will support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with the development of reporting related to the system. During the first year in role, the Analyst will focus on a next generation Revenue Management system that is in late stages of development.

Essential Responsibilities

· Perform analysis and model creation to make robust recommendations and defined processes around the RM system that maximize flight demand forecast accuracy

· Support the development of insightful tools and reports in Excel and Tableau, leveraging forecasting, market intelligence, and commercial data to drive clear decision-making and strategic direction for system improvement

· Assist with training and best practice processes for system users

· Liaise with Business Partners and provide support to system users in a face-paced team environment

· Effectively communicate models and analytical outputs with partners

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative discipline

· One (1) year of quantitative analysis and analytical modeling experience

· Proficiency in R, Python, SAS or other programming languages with ability to learn new programs and applications

· Full proficiency in SQL and Excel

· Data curiosity and motivation to develop data-driven solutions

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

· Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

· Advanced degree in Statistics, Business, or related quantitative discipline

· Experience within the airline industry

· Understanding of machine learning models and applying data science techniques

· Full understanding of the Spotfire or Tableau business intelligence tools

· Regular attendance and punctuality

· Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

· Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

· When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

· Identify safety and/or safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
