Maintenance Planner - COI

We have an opening for a Maintenance Planner based in City of Industry, CA! This role is responsible for all aspects of leading and managing the Business Unit team.  The primary purpose of Business Units is to ensure that products are produced in line with safety, quality and consumer requirements.  Incumbents are responsible for ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly production KPIs are met for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature and Growth. This is a complex, fast paced production setting.

Danone North America is looking for a Maintenance Planner - COI in City of Industry, CA manufacturing  facility.



    • You will conduct line/area inspections to identify and document work and job requirements.
    • You will identify specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of the proposed work.
    • You will make safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out procedures available to employees. And ensure that all aspects of the existing company safety policy are incorporated into the work plan.
    • You will estimate required hours on work order tasks, total work order duration, and skills required to perform the task.
    • You will plan jobs with appropriate level of detail for the given workforce. Determine and include QA/QC and SQF requirements for planned activities.
    • You will procure equipment and specialized tools required to perform work.
    • You will gather necessary engineering or technical documents, specifications, and drawings. As well as write clear and concise work procedures.
    • You will determine and arrange for parts required to perform the work.
    • You will partner w/ Parts attendants to ensure pre-kitted items are accurately prepared for planned work activities.
    • You will plan parts for all projects to increase “wrench time” and maximize efficiency. Compiles information into a job package that is ready for execution – clearly communicates with technicians regarding critical steps in the process.
    • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively give and receive feedback.
    • You will print and deliver work orders to the technicians in conjunction with the weekly work schedule. Upon completion of jobs, communicates with technicians regarding ideas and procedures that would make future jobs more efficient.
    • You will coordinate priority setting with the management team – places specific emphasis on obtaining the input of operations personnel in the setting of priorities.
    • You will keep bills of materials current.
    • You will accurately measure the maintenance backlog in its various forms and continually maintain not less than 4 week worth of ready backlog at all times.
    • You will be responsible for equipment and repair parts data entry and management.
    • You will ensure all work orders and maintenance log items are closed when work is finished.
    • You will participate in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk assessment, execution, and continuous improvement.
    • You will participate with all BU/Maintenance personnel on improvement projects, particularly when they are related to the proactive maintenance plan (PdM and PM).
    • You will create reports from CMMS regarding the work execution management process.
    • You will track and report BU maintenance related KPI’s.
    • You will be responsible for ensuring all BU equipment and appropriate preventative maintenance schedules/activities are entered into the CMMS.
    • You will leverage vendor documentation, including drawings, parts lists, and manuals for planned work activities.
    • You will partner with Maintenance Manager, other Planners, and Reliability Lead(s) to ensure in stock inventories reflect needed spares.
    • You will work with Reliability Leader to determine skills development needs for BU technicians.

Additional Job Description



    • You will have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • You will have 5+ year experience in the maintenance field; preferably in an industrial setting.
    • You will have experience with current MP2/CMMS desirable but not required
    • You will have a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude
    • You will have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
