JOB SUMMARY
Children's Healthcae of Atlanta is hiring a Phlebotomist Technician to join our team 16 hours per week! The Phlebotomist Technician will work at our Egleston hospital every Sat/Sun 4:00AM - 12:30PM. This role also offers the option to pick up extra shifts as desired each week. The Phlebotomist Technician should be very experienced with neonatal age and oversees invasive procedures and techniques involved in collection of blood specimens from patients for laboratory use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Performs clinical laboratory duties and responsibilities and works effectively with others to meet patient needs. Actively promotes a lean work culture by performing team member duties to ensure consistent use of lean principles and processes, including continually seeking work process improvements.
EDUCATION
Phlebotomists in Community Locations: Additional Duties and Allocation of Time
Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
