We will assign you a project to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Your research tasks are designed to optimize and improve predictability of inline process signals. Through this project we will provide the opportunity for you to collaborate with engineering interns across design, product and system engineering. At the end of the period, we want the cohort to have a good understanding of DRAM / NAND flash memory products and  how you can apply machine learning to solve complex semiconductor problems.

  • Exploratory data analysis
  • Possess a continuous improvement process (CIP) mentality looking for ways to improve the predictive model, and how to make a difference today!
  • Recognize, identify, and raise awareness of data anomalies with the motivation of "who needs to know this now!"
  • We want our intern to use statistical modeling that seek the problems that inhibit product / system development
  • You will uncover patterns in the data from which predictive models, impactful insights or solutions can be developed with the mentality of "how can I improve this?"
  • Learn how our customers use the data today with the intent of improving the user experience
  • Work closely and collaborate with subject matter experts
  • Develop a good understanding of how the feedback loops work with key customers by building positive relationships
  • We expect active participation in technical meetings and then synthesize from it new opportunities or novel approaches

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Pursuing a Master’s or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field. Semiconductor industry experience is helpful; however, other engineering or related fields may be considered. Graduation date cannot be prior to September 2021.
  • Machine learning and other sophisticated analytical methods
  • Hadoop, Snowflake, Teradata and/or another SQL databases
  • Good data summary and social skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Working with time series data, images, and data with frequently changing distributions is a plus

We need strong critical thinking, prioritization, and analytical skills while providing insights to drive strategic direction
