We are currently seeking a CCWIS Project Manager to join our team in Jackson, Mississippi (US-MS), United States (US).

The Project Manager will work collaboratively with the client, team members and vendors to set up and oversee the daily operations which will include day-to-day staff management as well as contract and budget management.
In collaboration with the Program Director, the candidate will lead a team of business, financial, and technical analysts to ensure requirements and business needs are met during the transformation of a Child Welfare System. The candidate will work directly with the vendors, business users and the client to institute a project management methodology, develop and maintain project management best practices, provide recommendations to the project team on project issues, risks and direction as well as provide required reporting. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project management, quality assurance, and adherence to project scope, requirements, risk management, quality, and schedule parameters.


Responsibilities Include:
• Ensure all internal project communications and reporting is occurring.
• Provide a complete and thorough review of project deliverables and ensure review and approval milestones are met.
• Ensure that the appropriate governance structures are established and followed for project quality.
• Follow processes for change management.
• Report, track, and manage costs throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Manage client relationship and expectations including working daily with key client leadership
• Develop, maintain, and manage to a project schedule; including ensuring the tasks are appropriately assigned and deadlines are being met
• Ability to develop, maintain, review, and manage project plans, communication plans, risk logs, issue logs, and other deliverables essential to effective project management and/or required by the client
• Assist the Program Director in managing and coordinating the operational assignments of the project team
• Develop client deliverables in accordance with project requirements and company documentation standards
• Provide recommendations to the client on critical business and project decisions
• Ensure that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicable
• Create and sustain a culture that encourages high performance of individuals and teams

 

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years additional work experience as a PM
• Minimum 5 years Project or Program Management experience
• Minimum 3 years Child Welfare System (CCWIS) expertise
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or willingness to obtain in first 9 months

• Must be onsite 50%

 

Preferred Skills:
• Experience on large, health and human services-related system implementations
• Experience working directly with clients and vendors
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to track detailed information accurately with an eye for quality and detail
• Ability to apply documented processes and standards to work activities
• Ability to analyze and resolve difficult logic and processing issues
