Material Control & Logistic Central Team Sr. Analyst


Functional Overview:

The Material Control and Logistic (MCL) Central Team Sr. Analyst will support strategic initiatives, key projects, and provide central packing support.  This includes collecting and analyzing data to complete Total Landed Cost Models (TLCM) for new suppliers and supplier transitions regarding transportation, packaging, inventory, etc.  This role will also be responsible for the management of the returnable packaging flow, working with procurement, suppliers, transportation partners, service providers, and providing central support for the plant packaging team to drive continuous improvement activities utilizing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Methodology.  MCL Central analyst will also lead inbound material flow projects to drive cost reductions and minimize handling for better efficiency and less inventory. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Central Plant Packaging support & Connection with Procurement & Orbis to drive continuous improvement activities utilizing lean principles for Returnable Vendor Packaging (RVP) process & system
  • Production Control Portal and Whirlpack Solution business lead - build, maintain, and support the functionality of systems and enhancements
  • Tasks / Project Support for 14 plants - Leader of the North American Region (NAR) Materials SAP/System core team
  • Data mining and analysis on specific improvement areas such as TLCM, Raw Work In Process RWIP ($180M), NAR materials Preliminary Availability Issue Notification ( PAIN) / Material Emergency Work Order (MEWO) process/sustainability
  • Travel may be required to supplier locations along with our 14 manufacturing locations (approximately 20%)


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Business
  • Experience in Packaging Engineering  
  • Experience with Manufacturing and Supply Chain concepts and parts flow

 Preferred Requirements:

  • Project Management:  Takes ownership of key results and orients activity to achieve them Understanding of lean concepts, and effective at developing and using standardized work
  • Understands and employs basic change management methodology
  • Effective at developing and using standardized work
  • Uses logic and problem-solving tools to develop plans to meet targets
  • Flexibility and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills and can lead conversations with internal and external partners in a proactive, productive manner
  • Use of Google Tools (Google: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms & Drawings)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain concepts and parts flow Scripting/Coding skills
  • Presents information succinctly, in command of the facts
